• May saw the ACCU market consolidate after April’s rally, with healthy activity but limited follow-through above recent highs.
• Spot ACCUs briefly tested $38.00 before easing back to close at $37.55, as sellers repeatedly emerged to meet compliance and intermediary demand.  
• Reported ACCU and SMC volumes totalled about 2.16 million certificates in May, modestly above April but still below the same period last year.
• Discussion through May increasingly centred on available Safeguard-held inventory and what it may mean for near-term market balance.
• Premium methodology-specific markets saw limited trade activity in May, with softer pricing and lower premiums.  
• April issuance data showed 1.83 million ACCUs issued across 106 projects, with vegetation methodologies dominating both supply and new registrations.
